Terms of Service
Oct 3, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and summarizer.video (“Summarizer”, “we”, “us”) for using the website and its tools. By using Summarizer you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
Summarizer turns videos and audio into transcripts, summaries, chapters, mind maps, flashcards and answers to questions. You can paste a link to a public video or upload a file of your own. Features, limits and prices may change as the product develops; the pricing page always shows the current ones.
Accounts
Reading results that already exist on the site needs no account. Processing something new does. You must give accurate information when you sign up, keep your password to yourself, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
Credits, plans and payments
- Generating something new costs credits; the pricing page lists what each action costs. Opening anything that has already been generated is free.
- New accounts receive a one-time allowance of free credits. Free credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep everything already generated.
- Credit packs are one-off purchases and do not expire while your account exists.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider; card details never reach our servers. Refunds are covered in the next section.
Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel a plan at any time from Account → Billing. It stops renewing; the period you have already paid for stays usable to its end, with its credits.
- Refunds are pro-rated by the credits you have not used, and can be asked for within 7 days of a payment. A refund closes the account. The Refund Policy sets out how the amount is worked out and what happens afterwards.
- By completing a checkout you agree to these terms and to the Refund Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit content you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful;
- use Summarizer to infringe anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights;
- scrape the site, process videos in bulk by automated means, or try to get around rate limits, credit checks or other restrictions;
- interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or access other people's accounts or data;
- resell or redistribute the service itself without our written permission.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You keep all rights to the files you upload and to what you create with Summarizer. You give us permission to store and process your content only as needed to provide the service to you. Transcripts and summaries of public videos are served on public pages of this site, as described in the Privacy Policy; uploads are not.
Third-party videos
Videos, captions and comments from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and other platforms belong to their owners. Summarizer provides transcripts and summaries of publicly available content for reading, study and reference. If you are a rights holder and believe a page on this site infringes your rights, write to the address below with the page URL and the basis of your claim, and we will review it and remove it where appropriate.
AI-generated output
Transcripts come from captions or speech recognition, and summaries, flashcards and answers are generated by AI models. They can be incomplete or wrong. Every summary point links to the moment in the video it came from so you can check it — please do, especially before relying on anything medical, legal, financial or otherwise important.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Summarizer available but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Upstream platforms can change or block access to their content at any time, which may stop some links from working. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid feature you have paid for, we will offer a fair remedy.
Disclaimers and liability
Summarizer is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Summarizer and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we have to for legal reasons.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for significant changes we will tell signed-in users before they take effect. Continuing to use Summarizer after that means you accept the new terms.
